Valentano. Procession of the Dead Christ

The Procession of the Dead Christ of Valentano is one of the most heartfelt religious traditions and the entire population participate in the event.

More than one hundred people representing the various moments of the life of Jesus, the Last Supper, the trial, the way of the cross, the crucifixion.

The streets of the village are illuminated by a myriad of lamps and lights, and the coffin of the dead Christ and the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows are accompanied by the Brotherhood of Mercy and that of the Grieving Women.
