Gallese. Procession of San Famiano a Lungo

Gallese. Procession of San Famiano a Lungo

On the morning of 17 July the procession takes place in honor of San Famiano, the patron saint of Gallese.

The religious procession leaves at the first light of dawn from the basilica and reaches the little Church of San Famiano a Lungo, a few kilometers from the town.

This church had been built on the spot where the saint had made the first miracle in Gallese when he struck a tufa from which very clear water gushed out into a source that is still present.
