Every year in September Acquapendente becomes a sports centre with a three-day national event dedicated to running, trekking and walking.
The first day on September 21 starts with the walk, also called "taste" because it passes through the chestnut groves, where in this period mushrooms grow and ends with lunch on a farm based on these typical products.
On Saturdays there is an excursion to Allegrona and dinner in the evening, based on local products, that is accompanied by dance and music. This is the day dedicated to getting to know the territory.
On Sunday the "trek to Monte Rufeno" takes place in the homonymous nature reserve on the border between three regions (Lazio, Umbria and Tuscany) that also involves the support of environmental guides of the park.
