Paganico Sabino. Gorges and Canyon of the Obito

One of the walks to do in Paganico Sabino is the one that crosses a particular landscape wrapped in legend.

The Obito, which in local dialect is called "Jovetu", is a deep and picturesque canyon which lies between Mount Cervia and Mount Philo.

The name comes from a legend about a massacre at the time of the Saracen invasions: "As the armed men went by there, the mountaineers began to roll huge boulders that crushed the greater part of these men."

Along the trail you will come across the old mill, Mola-mill and Fonte della Signora - Lady's source.
