Proceno. Path of the Brigands

In Proceno, the path of the Brigands is a trail that traces the footsteps of the brigands who were in this area during the nineteenth century.

The most famous brigand is certainly Domenico Tiburzi who had given his band an almost corporate organization even if some of these characters were not always Robin Hoods but sometimes they seemed rather like mercenaries in the service of the powerful.

The path continues to connect Monte Rufeno, near Acquapendente, with Vulci.

The trail can be covered on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback and is equipped with signs and information boards on the specifics of the area.
