Leonessa. Planetary trail

The Mount Terminillo Planetary Trail is a nature trail for walkers with an astronomical theme. Along the way, the journey is told of a photon, the elemental particle of light coming from the Sun and reaching Pluto, the last known planet across the entire solar system, in its ten stopping places.

The route is 7,7 km long and lasts about 2 hours and 45 hours minutes and crosses the territories of Rieti, Borgo Velino, Castel Sant’Angelo, Cittaducale and Micigliano in some of the most impressive places of the Massif of Terminillo.

The path starts from the Tre Faggi and arrives at Rifugio Sebastiani nearby to the Sella di Leonessa.
