Taralli are the ‘typical Apulian products’ also recognized as an emblem of Italian traditions by the Ministry of Agriculture.
The tarallo is a ring made with unleavened dough made from flour, water, wine, oil and salt. It is often flavoured with spices like fennel seeds. It is cooked in the oven and eaten on many occasions: as a nibble or to accompany meals.
In Cellino San Marco you can buy hand made taralli in local backeries.
