Artena. Flag Wavers and Musicians Association of Cardinal Borghese

The Flag-Wavers and Musicians "Standard Bearers of Cardinal Borghese" was founded in 2007 and today consists of 12 musicians and 12 flag-wavers.

The name comes from Cardinal Scipione Borghese, nephew of Pope Paul V Borghese and lord of Montefortino, the old name of Artena.

The emblem of the group follows the heraldic emblem of the Borghese family with the eagle and the dragon rampant that is found in many monuments of Artena.

For six years the group has organized the federal competition "Festival of Flags" in the period of April / May which has been attended over these years by the most important groups of Italian flag-waving. It is the only flag-waving tournament entire province of Rome.
