Tolfa. G. Verdi Music Band

The band G. Verdi of Tolfa was founded on June 29, 1866 and is officially recognized by the Papal States that then governed these territories.

In more than 150 years of activity, the band has been in the United States during Columbus Day in 2004 and 2005. In 2007 it participated in the VIII Marathon of the Musical Bands in Prague and in 2008 performed in Brussels.

The band has always played an important role in bringing young people closer to music and some of its members have been chosen by the World Youth Orchestra to play at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome.

In 2011 it received the recognition of being of national interest by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities.

In 2016 it organized a "Three-year Course of Instrumentation and Wind Orchestra Direction" with lessons by M° Ten. Col. Leonardo Laserra Ingrosso, Director of the Band of the Guardia di Finanza.
