The Schola Cantorum Father Antonio Belli of Genazzano is named after the composer's father Antonio Belli who was also director of the school expanding the repertoire of the choir beyond sacred music.
The first mention of the school is a musical score of a "Via Crucis" composed by Fortunato Santini (1778-1861) and dedicated "To the singers of Genazzano".
The document is in the music archive of the Benedictine monastery of St. Scholastica.
Thanks to its training the choir is now known for its ability to perform for the public musically refined songs that convey emotions.
