What is Dynamic Colour?
Why do we feel pleasure in some ambiences while in others we feel levels of discomfort? Very often the answer is in the colour and hues of these spaces. Colours interact with us in a total way, both in the left and in the right brain.
In particular, colour can be defined as part of the visible spectrum of energy also with symbolic meanings perceived only with the right side of our brain. For this reason, colour is able to connect with the innermost part of us affecting our emotions, through “energy fields ” that differ according to the chromatic nuances (hues, shades, lustre) and their disposition in the environment.
Different colours are for different souls.
Because each of us is unique and reacts differently with colours, the feeling of well-being is personal and one can study ways to use colour to increase the positive perception of the environment.
Fiorella Rizzo is a Sicilian relationship counselor who understands the essence of colours and has founded the technique of Dynamic Colour and of Chromic-emotional Maps to help people to achieve balance and to strengthen their self-esteem. This theory took shape in a system she called ‘Evolucrom’.
The story of Evolucrom – Evolution of colour – partly coincides with the background of Fiorella Rizzo. How did this method arise?
When I was in the studio with my clients, trying to resolve their relational difficulties with those close to them, I often noticed that words were not enough. Then I looked for a more direct way to communicate with their being, and I found that dynamic colour corresponded fully to these needs.
Why do you use the term “dynamic colour”?
I noticed that during the sessions, clients were reacting not only to the colour they were working with, but also to the way in which this was placed on the surface. I realized then that in order for a colour to fully express the potential energy that it bears, it is essential that there is movement in space - dynamic colour. That’s why I started to identify the symbolic movements of the various colours, in order to realize their potential in applications.
How would you define Evolucrom?
It is a personalised overlapping and intermingling of colour transparencies applied to the wall or screen that will stimulate feelings of well-being in the person. There are no images, and its effectiveness is based on the particular arrangement of the shades and hues of colour decorated on the wall.
The colours, therefore, are able to present their objective “character “, the intimate nature of each dynamic colour, without being influenced by personal or representational artistic features, and in order to create an effect of depth, three-dimensionality. Each person responds to a slightly different colour nuance so the interior of a house must also be designed to respect the welfare of the soul of those who live there.
'The vibration of the colour is one of the best experiences you can have: colour is a work without end referring to a continuous inner rhythm and musicality, sunshine and innate perception, which not only focuses and relaxes, but it projects into the world of creativity and intuition, in an infinite “game”- it is dynamic colour.'
