Jun 2-3: Discovering Monte Porzio

A journey through the cuisine and flavors of this Castelli Romani village set on a plateau overlooking Rome and the Valle dei Latini. A way to return to the ruins of the ancient city of Tusculum which for many centuries was one of the engines of Rome and a garrison during the period of barbarian invasions. We met a medieval camp: it was the set of the 'Name of the Rose' with John Turturro who stayed between here and Cinecittà where other scenes of the film were shot. We must admit that from all this has emerged the true essence of Monteporzio, elegant villas still largely exclusive, and vineyards and wine shops where you can taste excellent white wine Frascati DOC.
