29 June: Town Ambassador Award to Giancarlo Flavi for the town of Serrone

The prestigious Town Ambassador award was given to Giancarlo Flavi for his love and his activism in promoting Serrone, his native village.

The handover ceremony took place in the Piazzitella, within the Rocca D’Oro Prize that Giancarlo has been promoting for over 30 years. During the more than 30 editions, Giancarlo brought over 600 personalities to Serrone such as Ministers (Minister Vitalone for foreign trade), Prefects, Chiefs of Staff (General Adelchi Pillinini), entrepreneurs but also famous actors, sportsmen, singers and artists.

Everyone was able to know the village of Serrone, its museum of theatrical costumes, the church with the crucifix attributed to Cimabue and given to the parish by Cardinal Castrillon, who had received the award and who had fallen in love with Serrone.

An opportunity to meet our American friends: Dino Valle, Eva Evola and Aaron Caruso of the Detroit Opera Bellini in Michigan.
