Claudia Bettiol and Roberta Centonze talk about the Settefrati project at BFC Forbes "Green Carpet", a program where each episode is dedicated special projects that represent responsibility and sustainability.
Felicita Back Home is a project but also an innovative method to regenerate small towns with the support of 'descendent' emigrated to countries around the world, young digital nomadic descendants.
Conducted by Enzo Argante, the show presents stories of rebirth and success where responsibility and sustainability combine with beauty, and we went on to tell how to make the great beauty of small Italian villages shine. Small municipalities that today are fighting to conquer their own place in the future of this country and the world.
During the episode (which you can follow at the link) we talked about the model for the regeneration of Settefrati born thanks to a project between Italy, Canada and the USA and its Town Ambassadors with Claudia Bettiol, creator of the Town Ambassador Award for bridges with emigrants (www.townambassador.org), and Roberta Centonze, international expert in charge of supporting administrations in the PNRR.
The story of Settefrati - in the charming Val Comino - started a few years ago when Mayor Riccardo Frattaroli together with Discoverplaces dedicates the Town Ambassador Award to some of its citizens abroad including Tony Malizia of Toronto.
Riccardo is very attentive to his citizens, so much so that every day he wishes a happy birthday to both those residing in Italy and those abroad.
Tony Malizia was one of the few Italian emigrants who was able to involve the new generations of descendants in new emotional ties between Canada and Settefrati.
The occasion of the PNRR on the regeneration of the small villages wanted by the Ministry of Culture is the catalyst around which many operators of this beautiful village and of the whole Comino Valley, the Lazio side of the National Park of Abbruzzo, Lazio and Molise, have come together.
Among the partners involved, in addition to the Town Ambassadors Tony Malizia, Antonia del Prete and Antonio Vitti Jr: Enzo Borrelli from the Valle dell'Aquila, Cesidio di Ciacca, Davide del Prete , Caroline di Cocco (former Minister of Culture of Ontario - Canada), Maria Pia della Agricola San Maurizio, the Biodistrict of Valle di Comino , Enrico Rossi of the Cabernet Consortium of Atina , Salvo Bendici dell'ANFE , Gianni Lattanzio of Ambientevivo and Diego Collareda.
With Settefrati's Felicita Back Home we have created a model that is also a hope that can help many Italian municipalities to be reborn.
