Ladispoli. Roman Villa of Marina di Palo

Ladispoli. Roman Villa of Marina di Palo

The ancient roman villa is of the imperial era dating back to I-II century AD in Marina di Palo of Ladispoli.

It has a small temple with marble statues, richly decorated interiors, mosaics and a heated room with a hypocaust system (underfloor hot air heating) and three spa tubs.

You can still make out a large cistern with two aisles (in via Albatros), some tanks and other masonry structures now submerged by the sea.

The remains of this beautiful villa are spread along the entire coastal area from the Palo forest to the Sanguinara canal.
