Marino. Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie

The church of Santa Maria delle Grazie dates from the fifteenth century and was built by the Arciconfraternity of Gonfalone of Marino (Arciconfraternita del Gonfalone di Marino).

Arciconfraternity of Gonfalone of Marino is a lay charity organisation connected to the church, that buit the convent and then donated to the Augustinian Fathers who built the convent.

The façade dates back to 1634 and inside there is a fresco attributed to the Florentine painter Benozzo Gozzoli and a wooden sculpture of the Neapolitan school depicting St. Nicholas of Tolentino.

In the second chapel is a painting of St. Rocco attributed to Domenichino (1581-1641).

Now the convent is a youth hostel.
