Paliano. The Cesanese Wine Route

Pista Ciclabile Paliano Fiuggi

Part of the territory of Paliano is part of the production area of the Cesanese DOCG wine, the only red wine of the Lazio Region with this denomination. Cesanese is one of the oldest vines and its cultivation dates back to Roman times.

The name 'Cesanese' derives from the cutting of the woods in order to free up land for the cultivation of the vine.

Paliano is part of the Cesanese Wine Route Association (Strada del Vino Cesanese) which also includes the municipalities of Acuto, Anagni, Affile, Piglio and Serrone.

The association internationally promotes wine and its territory with other typical products.
