Festival of Cucchi and Role
 Festival of Cucchi and Role

Arcinazzo Romano. Festival of Cucchi and Role

The festival of Cucchi and Role takes place in Arcinazzo Romano on the last weekend of October, two of the typical products of this beautiful village in the Aniene Valley.

The cucchi are a fresh homemade pasta, made with water and flour and the addition of egg. The dough is rolled out with a rolling pin and then cut into thin strips similar to tagliolini.

The role, on the other hand, are the local chestnuts roasted on the embers like roasted chestnuts.

The occasion of the festival is to spend the last days of autumn outdoors with live music and dancing in the square before the arrival of winter.
