Aquino. Broad Beans of the Dead

On 2 November Aquino commemorates the day of the dead, one of the traditional Italian festivals, with a free distribution of a broad bean soup.

The Aquino broad beans are a particular type of legume that grows in this area of Ciociaria.

The Broad Beans of Dead is a tradition that is repeated again and that has led to the rebirth of a unique cultivation of its kind and recognized by the Lazio Region as a typical local product.
