On the third Sunday of December in Monteleone Sabino we celebrate the bruschetta with a very special and unique festival of its kind.
A loaf of bread of about 20 meters is made which runs through the alleys of the historic centre.
It is an event that attracts the curious from the surrounding area for the amazement and for the pleasure of tasting the famous oil of Sabina, cold milled and with a very intense scent that goes perfectly with the bread.
The distribution of bruschetta is free while a series of food and wine stands allow you to taste traditional local dishes and buy local products.
During the event the 'Olivifera Mutusca - Trebula Mutuesca Green Gold' prize is awarded to the best oil.
You can also take part in guided tours of the Archaeological Museum, archaeological excavations and visit the Sanctuary of Santa Vittoria, and the patron saint of the village who defeated the dragon.
