The truffle festival is one of the most beautiful events in the village of Canterano and is dedicated to a true excellence of the area with food and wine tasting based on fine black truffle and scorzone truffle coming from the woods.
It takes place over two weekends in October and involves all citizens and is organized by the association 'La Murritana'.
In the stands along the historic center you can enjoy an entire menu based on truffles starting from the classic bruschetta to the first courses with strangozzi with truffles. Strangozzi are a typical local pasta made with water and flour.
The dish not to be missed is the egg with truffles which perfectly enhances the flavor of the tuber in a perfect marriage.
