Caprarola. Chestnut Festival

In October, two weekends in Caprarola are dedicated to chestnuts with a party that combines tastings, entertainment, excursions and discovery of the territory.

The chestnut is the most important autumn fruit in the past able to feed the entire population. You can taste the famous chestnuts, marmalades, candied chestnuts, cream marroni.

During the festival you can taste the chestnuts of Monti Cimini and the typical local products made with these fruits.

In the stands there are show cooking with professional chefs, cooking lessons and cooking book presentations.

The festival is also an opportunity to get to know the splendid Palazzo Farnese, accompanied by tourist guides and the Lago di Vico Nature Reserve, accompanied by environmental guides.
