Gradoli. Aleatico Festival

In the delightful village of Gradoli there is a festival dedicated to one of the best local productions: the Aleatico wine.

The history of the Aleatico has distant origins and is lost over the centuries: there are several legends that link it to the town of Gradoli, already in ancient times at the time of the Etruscan civilization.

On the last weekend of July and the first of August, the ancient village is filled with activities, tastings and shows that celebrate the famous wine made in these territories.

The wine tradition and that of taste are the undisputed protagonists of the various events that take place during the summer season, around the Cimini mountains in northern Lazio. Going around the wine festivals is a nice way to discover the products of Tuscia.

The evocative landscape immersed in the woods overlooking the lake and the excellence of the area make Aleatico in Festa an important meeting point that attracts thousands of tourists and visitors.

An opportunity to fully appreciate the beauty of these lands even at the table.

The main protagonist is the aleatico, with its velvety flavor, intense and rich in aromas, which is offered to visitors and comes directly from the best wineries in these areas.

The food stands that offer the tasting of all the other typical products of the area are located in the public gardens and every evening is dedicated to one of the gastronomic excellences of Gradoli and its surroundings.

The Purgatory beans are celebrated, bruschetta with olive oil, local wines, traditional desserts, while always toasting with aleatico. The evenings then continue with the musical entertainment of various groups and dancing until late at night.

Gradoli, inserted in the splendid environmental context of Lake Bolsena, is an ideal destination for all those looking for the quality of an interesting, stimulating stay full of important food and wine peculiarities of a territory rich in history, nature and taste.
