Caprarola. Festival of the Hazelnut

Caprarola. Festival of the Hazelnut

Tuscia is the place where DOP hazelnuts are grown, which have had a great influence on the local economy. For this reason, the Caprarola hazelnut festival is a real event and began over 60 years ago with a week of festivities.

It started as the feast of Sant'Egidio and today is days of music, food and wine and entertainment.

Among the events there are popular festivals with traditional games such as the ring race, but also modern as the soapy calcetto.

The most awaited moment is that of the parade in the streets of the country of folk carts on the theme of hazelnut.

There are two shows, one by day and one by night, ending with the distribution of hazelnut products.
