Monteleone Sabino. Festival of Fettuccine at the Trebulana way

In Monteleone Sabino, a Festival of Fettuccine at the Trebulana way is dedicated to one of the typical dishes of Roman and Sabine cuisine and also to the memory of an ancient Roman city.

The fettuccine are made with a mixture of water, flour, eggs and salt and spread by hand by the housewives of the village.

They are seasoned in various ways but the traditional one is with pancetta, tomato, mushrooms and peas. And above all with the tasty Olio della Sabina PDO.

The wine and food weekend is enriched by a musical frame with bands that perform live in the historic center.

Trebola Mutuesca was the ancient Roman city that was located in the area very famous in the first century BC and of which the ancient amphitheater can be visited while other pieces are visible at the civic museum.

An opportunity to visit the archaeological area and the charming medieval village of Monteleone Sabino located on a hill at the foot of the Sabine Mountains.
