Gerano. Festival of Strozzapreti

On the last Sunday of July, in Gerano is celebrated one of the typical local dishes: Strozzapreti.

This is a paste that is made using wheat and cornstarch, and is topped with a strong sauce called "Pistacchia".

It is served in special 'scifette', namely craft wooden plates.
