Palombara Sabina. Longarini festival

Cretone, a hamlet of Palombara Sabina, comes alive in July for a weekend dedicated to local cuisine combined with culture and sport with the Longarini festival.

Longarini with source are a typical first course of the tradition and the tasting continues with tastings of fried pizza and baked pizza.

They are all dishes made instantly, all rigorously seasoned with local products and with Sabina PDO extra virgin olive oil, a true excellence of the territory.

The tastings are completed with local fruit and remember that Palombara is the land of cherries.

Cretone is a medieval village born around a castle after the fall of the Roman Empire when people sought refuge on defended hills. It is famous for its thermal waters.
