In honor of one of the typical products of Marano Equo, in August the festival of the Regina bean is celebrated, a plant that was traditionally grown between Marano Equo and Subiaco. Its particularity and delicacy is given to it by the spring waters of the 'marane' the area in which it is grown.
The bean was called 'Regina' in honor of a visit by the queen to these areas of the Aniene Valley.
During the festival the bean is served prepared in various ways, including the typical bean with pork rinds. The evening is enlivened by live music and dancing in the square.
