Morro Reatino. Feast of St. Anthony the Abbot and porchetta festival

In Morro Reatino religious traditions are combined with pagan ones and on 17 January, on the occasion of the Feast of St. Anthony the Abbot, a delicious porchetta is offered in the square.

Porchetta comes from the processing of pork flavored with black pepper, rosemary, fresh garlic (and possibly hot pepper) which is then cooked in the oven for a few hours.

The small pigs used are female from Italian farms.
