Nazzano. Pangiallo

Nazzano. Pangiallo

Pangiallo was a classic Christmas Gift: the peasants' wives would give it to the local notables.

In Nazzano you can find Pangiallo during Christmas in every bakery.

It is dome-shaped, amber coloured, consisting of nuts, flour, walnuts, hazelnuts (gentile Roman), almonds, pistachios, dried figs, honey, pine nuts, candied fruit (lime, orange), raisins, eggs, cocoa powder, chocolate flakes, wildflower honey, alchermes liquor, olive oil and yeast.

Today it is still a habitual gift but it is also for sale in all bakeries.
