Sicily always brings the sun everywhere!

We have many collaborators, in Italy and around the world, who fill us with surprises every day. This time we received a message from our Angela De Michele da Sciacca, who together with the chef Anthony Andaloro went to the hotel institute in her town, to promote our Contest with him, #DiscoverFoodAndWine

Together with Anthony, they had many opportunities to talk with the students, both in presence and in dad (Distance Learning), and they invited the whole "Amato Vetrano" Institute to participate with original recipes and stories in the contest.

Not only for Sciacca, but also for its entire Province.

We can't wait for these students to tell their country at the table, with their young voice and eyes to combine tradition and innovation.

From Abruzzo to Australia, the roots are never forgotten!

Today a lot of good news for our Town Ambassadors. Alessandra, nominated for the Municipality of Sante Marie in Abruzzo, received her award and sent us this wonderful photo together with her whole family.

We are really happy, and soon we will publish her story!

A few weeks ago we went to Piglio, to sign our Town Ambassador award together with the Mayor, Mario Felli. An award we gave to our dear Nancy Campbell, who received it today, and she sent us this wonderful photo! Do you recognize the paintings? This photo is really special for us, because Nancy has decided to take it in front of a series of paintings representing Paliano, and are located inside the Saugerties Town Hall, the American city where she resides. We are happy to know that a small piece of our Ciociaria has been around the world. Thanks Nancy!

This Thursday we talked about Contigliano a treasure trove of history and charm for all tastes, together with its Mayor Paolo Lancia!

A town that we are waiting to find again, and that in the meantime you can meet with our Contigliano Tourist Guide.

We continue our journey to discover the most beautiful and interesting villages of Lazio with our weekly appointment together with Radio Radio and ANCI Lazio, in the program “Amico Comune”, where every Thursday we talk about a town of the Lazio Region together with its Mayor.

We look forward to returning to attend its events once this emergency is over.

From Boston to Sciacca is a moment! A few days ago our Town Ambassador of Sciacca, Kenny Palazzolo, shared with us a letter of thanks, sent to the Sicilian Municipality to renew the good wishes and the friendship that exists between the latter and the Boston Community. Kenny has been named Town Ambassador by us for his commitment to promoting his town of origin, and for organizing an annual re-enactment of a splendid Sciacca procession through the streets of Boston, together with his community.

Our Town Ambassadors always do great things, and we can't wait for Boston and Sciacca to be together again!

A day of great news! Today the F.I.S.A.R., the Italian Federation of Sommeliers, Hoteliers and Restaurateurs, communicated its participation in our Contest of 2021, #DiscoverFoodAndWine. A Federation that we had the pleasure of meeting through their fantastic professionals, who have written articles on our portal on several occasions, for the "Food & Wine" category.

We look forward to their stories, to talk about typical food and wine!

We are delighted to share and publish the communication of the Municipality of Sciacca on its official social pages. We sent a video that told the experience we lived working with our Town Ambassador Award, the reasons that made us start, and why it is more important than ever to keep alive the memory of our roots, and those of descendants. Italians who have left our country and who have never forgotten it.

Greetings to Sciacca by Claudia Bettiol, of Discoverplaces.travel after the award assigned to Kenny Palazzolo, for having contributed in America to keep alive the bond with our and her city, the faith in the Madonna del Soccorso and the best traditions of the land of origin of his ancestors.

The Municipality of Sciacca joined the Town Ambassador this year. An initiative to "build bridges with Italians abroad and with their descendants".

Our Town Ambassadors are fantastic people, committed to promoting their Italian roots around the world. A few months ago, we awarded Michael Cavalieri, an Italian descendant with his roots in Limina, a small village in Sicily. With him we discovered a lot of things about this country, and the relationship that his descendants have with the traditions and memories of him. A strong, solid bond that goes beyond any ocean. So today we had the pleasure of reading Michael's interview in a Los Angeles newspaper, where he talked about us, his film "Ritornato", and the many projects in the pipeline, for him and his beloved Limina.
