This Thursday we talked about Castrocielo, a small village in the Province of Frosinone, with a unique beauty and ancient history, a treasure trove of history and charm for all tastes, together with its Mayor Filippo Materiale!

Castrocielo, a town rich in traditions and festivals that represent the maximum of Ciociaria folklore. From the festivals that celebrate local products, to the "sumptuous" religious celebrations, where one in particular comes to mind, the Pasquetta of Castrocielo and Colle San Magno. An event where the statues of the Madonna of the two countries meet at the end of a long pilgrimage, exchanging a bow in celebration of the Easter period.

We were guests of the 3 webinar organized by the Department of Education of the Municipality of Albano Laziale.

Claudia Bettiol from Discoverplaces and Benedicta M. Lee participated in the discussion for our Turismo tra i Banchi project, a live interview entitled: Agenda 2030 e Turismo.

An initiative part of the European Policies project of the Municipality of Albano Laziale, which was broadcast on the Facebook page of the Public Education Department of the Municipality of Castelli Romani.

During the webinar we talked about our two projects, a way of enhancing sustainable tourism starting with children, and continuing with the promotion and enhancement of the businesses of our territories.

It is also a pleasure to speak together with the managers of the Zagarolo Wiki hostel, which brought many interesting observations on how the local structures are experiencing this post-COVID period, and the path they are taking towards the success of the objectives set by the 2030 Agenda.

A job that we have started and that will continue for us, online and offline!

Another year has passed, and among the many difficulties and concerns brought by COVID - 19 we arrived at the closing ceremony of Albano Insieme, the initiative organized by the Municipality and the administration of Albano Laziale that involves schools and associations for an entire year in major projects for the development of the territory and the local community.

This edition will be a little different for everyone, we at Discoverplaces and Turismo tra i Banchi together with the other associations will participate in digital format with our video that tells a little about the work done this year. 

Thanks to the Cecchina Middle School, to the teachers, the pupils, and the Group of 12, and all those who embraced and collaborated in our project. In order not to give up the activities, today in honor of the ceremony we wanted to share with you a fun QUIZ about the City of Albano, which you can share with your friends and parents… and challenge yourself to whoever scores the highest!

This Thursday we talked about Poggio Mirteto, a small village in the Province of Rieti, full of life and charm for all tastes, together with its Mayor Giancarlo Micarelli!

Poggio Mirteto is a village immersed in the green of the Sabina. Famous for the great Carnival that takes place every year in the historic center, and for the delicacies that are produced in its territory, such as oil and dairy products. Not to be missed is the festival dedicated to one of the typical dishes, the Padellaccia!
