Do you know those games where you measure friction by tilting a plane and seeing at which angle the pieces fall? This is the image I've always had of Rocca Canterano, a town suspended in the sky with an inclined wall on one side and a sheer drop over the Aniene valley on the other.
Only yesterday at a meeting of Slow Food Ciociaria and the Cesanese Land I had gathered the admiration of small producers on how much Ciociaria had grown in recent years and is increasingly establishing itself as a brand.
What could be better than the arrival of spring to go to Riofreddo, the last town in the province of Rome just before Abruzzo region? Traveling along the Rome – L'Aquila route, I cannot see it and only a large building on a hill appears to me.

Thursday 16 March was a day full of interesting events and initiatives and our editorial team split in two: Claudia Bettiol went to Radio Radio with the delegate for tourism of the Metropolitan Area of Rome Alessia Pieretti (another article talks about their speech on root tourism) while Maria Vittori attended the BMT in Naples to talk about the Town Ambassador Award.
In Rome we say 'gnocchi Thursday' but Thursday is also the day of Amico Comune on Radio Radio, the program commissioned by ANCI Lazio which every week tells a story about a town through the words of one of its administrators, and ours of course.
The road to Affile is uphill and seems to lead to the high mountains but at a certain point I arrive in a small plateau with a landscape of cypresses, olive groves and vineyards. But are we really on the Affilani Mountains?
