March 3-4th: Meeting with International Bloggers

Bloggers from Discoverplaces joined the tour organized by IWE – ‘Italy Where Else’ and ‘Rome Countryside’ to show the beauty of places near Rome.

The tour aimed to raise awareness and appreciation internationally of places in Lazio Region near Rome, showing their history, art, typical products and friendliness. The protagonists were the towns of Anagni and Palestrina, the cellars of the winemakers from Cesanese and Passerina grapes and restaurants specialising in local fare.

"ConvivioItalia" award with Energitismo sponsored Bosse Buffone prize. The prize will be awarded during the 2nd Conference on Culture and Business, September 29 at CUOA Altavilla Vicentina.
Present will be Alberto Galla - President Rotary Vicenza and President Italian Booksellers, and Michelangelo Muraro President ConvivioItalia. The evening will be hosted by Gian Antonio Stella journalist and writer from Vicenza and columnist for Corriere della Sera.

Upcycling Presentation at the Formalba School

At 10 am at the sports field of Segni a meeting will be held between the teachers of Formalba and the Energitismo team to plan some activities together for the next academic year. Energitismo has been tasked to give a one hour seminar on Upcycling and Common Goods. The seminar will be conducted by Claudia Bettiol for Energitismo and Marco Giustinelli for Formalba.

A new silk road arrives in Brussels

Europe rewards the project "The Rebirth of the Silk Road" - the New Silk Road in Europe. The European Commission has selected its best four network projects from among the numerous applications from all over Europe. This is an important result that enhances international growth for D'Orica and the network that have commenced the production of silk and gold jewellery using Italian silk.
On April 27th and 28, 2015 the project "The Rebirth of the Silk Road" telling the story of the creation of the new silk road in Europe, was presented in Brussels, at the headquarters of the European Commission, in the "Grow your Region" event dedicated to clusters and smart specialization (regional strategies for research and development). This project has been the candidate selected by the Veneto Region from Italy and it will be analysed as part of determining the best European practices for Research & Innovation policies. The outcome will be disseminated among the companies of the 28 Member States.
Representing the Region of Veneto and the Network were Claudia Bettiol, President of Energitismo and Claudio Gheller, CEO of Veneto Marketing and Cluster Manager of the Network of companies.
The event involved a large international audience that will examining the successes of the process chain which highlights the undeniable value of small and medium-sized businesses, the sector that Energitismo - Handmade Treasures promotes internationally, telling the real-life stories of entrepreneurs, craftsmen and artists in projects such as the new silk road.

Energitismo at National Conference of Six Sigma in Torino 2014

Claudia Bettiol, President of Energitismo, has accepted an invitation to present at the Eleventh National Conference of Six Sigma in Turin on 22 March.

Six Sigma is the international organisation that seeks near perfection in manufacturing and supply of products. Six Sigma in Italy includes the top businesses, academic and research organisations that create leading Italian style, design, engineering and products. The overarching theme of this National Conference of Six Sigma is ‘Instruments and Strategies for the Success of Business’.

Claudia’s topic will be “Una Formula Innovativa di Aggregazione per le PMI” (‘An innovative Formula for growth of SMEs’) and she will present the Energitismo model to the leading business strategists from around Italy. She will use as examples organisations that are partners in Energitismo.

Other speakers include Ervino Riccobon – Direttore Competitività Prodotti e Processi – Ferrari SpA, Maranello and Alessandro Sciolari – Presidente di ARMESI: Agenzia per l’Innovazione Tecnologica del Sistema Italia. The objectives of Six Sigma include maximising attention to quality in all aspects of business. Business, particularly that involving industrial processes, is not just the design, engineering, production, release testing and distribution of products. It involves relational issues.

These include relations with suppliers to ensure quality and reproducibility of products plus ongoing viability of the commercial business of the supplier. Itinvolvesrelationswith the customer to ensure that products delivered are on time, of consistent quality and that the customer's business is commercially viable and able to meet its contractual obligations for payment.

Further,it involves relations with approval authorities, with taxation authorities, with business associations, with environmental authorities- particularly in the local area, with employee and associate groups, health and welfare authorities, and with the broadest aspects of society with which the business interacts.

Presentation of ‘Discoverplaces.travel’ in Serrone

On February 20,  a press conference was held in Serrone to present www.discoverplaces.travel dedicated to serving the needs of experiential travellers, those seeking special and unique experiences. Energitismo grows and evolves.

The event prefaced guides to the magnificent but ‘unknown’ villages and towns of Lazio in the form of special stories and tourist guides. The first town to be prefaced is Serrone where the mayor presented a very interesting initiative for the promotion of the territory and local products in synergy with the www.discoverplaces.travel portal.
