While the Travel Literature Festival is underway, we will be presenting the series of guides “Towns and Villages of Lazio” by Discoverplaces.travel;

Held at the magnificent Villa Celimontana, the event's guests will include Tommaso Giartosio, a writer who also hosts the radio show  Fahrenheit, covering current cultural events, presentations of books, encounters with authors and moments set aside for young people's literature, poetry, games of the intellect and musical interludes, as well as searches for hard-to-find books, plus reports from bookstores, libraries, cultural festivals and other artistic initiatives.

Yet another ideal opportunity for Discoverplaces.travel to heighten awareness of the splendours of the Lazio region and the Ciociaria territory.

21-24 Settembre - Discover Places al Festival della Letteratura di Viaggio

In the last weekend of September, the Travel Literature Festival will be held at the Villa Celimontana, under the auspices of the Italian Geographic Society; Discoverplaces.travel will be at this, the 10^th edition of the festival to present its Series of Tour Guides, one for each of the 377 municipalities of the Lazio region, not including Rome.

The guides use an innovative approach to give the readers a feel for the surrounding areas before immersing them in the towns themselves.

The series will be on display, and available for purchase, at the exhibit booth of the Del Viaggiatore bookstore.

On September 11th, Discoverplaces.travel paid a very pleasant visit to Sonnino, the first town in the Province of Latina where we will be providing training courses for all the tour operators, manufacturers and small businessmen of the local area, with the goal of creating a network to heighten the powers of attraction of the delightful village and its neighbouring towns.

We enjoyed dropping in at the "Terre di Confine Museum", where we took part in a discussion of the banditry of yesteryear, and we feasted on traditional local dishes at the restaurant "Sonnino Food Museum".

We can hardly wait to begin our training initiative!

9 Settembre - Presentazione della guida di Vico nel Lazio

On Saturday afternoon, at the Church of “La Madonna della Concordia” in the town of Vico nel Lazio, we presented our guide to that picturesque burgh, whose points of attraction as a tourist destination should not be ignored! Discoverplaces.travel is a website that promotes local towns and villages through a story-telling designed to draw increasing flows of tourists to the Lazio region.
 

11 Agosto - Presentazione guida di Paliano

This afternoon at 5:30 pm, in the conference room of the C.R.A. Credit Cooperative of Paliano, we will be presenting a guidebook to Paliano whose points of excellence and outstanding features amount to a tourist attraction all on their own! "Discoverplaces.travel" is a website that promotes local destinations through a story-telling technique designed to increase incoming flows of tourists to Lazio by focusing on its individual cities and towns.

A series of guidebooks accompanies the website, one for each of the 377 municipalities of the Lazio Region, with the exception of the City of Rome. The guidebooks take an innovative approach to describing the various areas of the region, providing a feel for the surrounding territory as a whole before taking a deeper look at the individual city or town.

Today we present Paliano, complete with all the compelling features, plus the treasures of the past, that make the town a must stop for any visitor to the area!

July 22nd and July 23rd were the first visits to towns of Montepiano Realto to begin the guides of the province of Rieti. Among the towns visited are the splendid Leonessa, the Cantalice shrines, the mysterious Rivodutri and the territory of Amatrice.
