    May 17: Event organizing Workshop at the IIS "Via Gramsci"

    The Discoverplaces team had the pleasure of spending a day at the IIS "Via Gramsci" highschool, tourism section, one of the schools who together with other institutes of the area had the chance to work in our office and take part in our daily work routine thanks to the "Alternanza scuola-lavoro" program.
    We spent a few hours with the students of the 4A class, who were working on an upcoming art exhibition whom they had to organize on their own, talked about event management and all aspects of event organizing from start to finish. We hope that our time and tips & tricks can be useful to them, not just during the event but maybe, also in their future work life.
    Thanks to everyone for having us, we hope to be back!

    May 10: Agreement with CHOSE of Tor Vergata

    We couldn’t stay away from our technical-scientific roots.

    Here we are again in the laboratories of CHOSE, the Solar Campus of the University of Tor Vergata, founded about 10 years ago in an agreement with the Lazio Region. Our aim is to help foreign researchers visiting the labs to discover the beauties of Lazio.

    The CHOSE laboratory is one of the major international centres on renewable energy and is attended by academics, industrialists and researchers from all over the world. There are people who stay just a few days but also people who stay several months.

    It is to all of them that we will provide advice on the 'Top Things to Do' in the surrounding area and reveal all the events of each weekend: the food and wine festivals, the music and popular entertainment festivals.

    To each foreign researcher we will give a volume of our 'Guide to the Italian Villages / Travellers' Guide to Italy' and we will be at their disposal to explain the wonders of our area.

    A festive Sunday for Rocca Priora who celebrated for the seventy-ninth time the narcissus, her white flower. The main avenue of the village enriched with floral decorations that this year have told the ancient crafts practiced in the small village. Full of significance is the floral realization of the Madonna della Neve Committee which tells the true identity of the country: the collection of snow, stored in the wells for its conservation and the cart that carries the ice along the Latin way to Rome.

    2018 is the year of food and wine and some operators are experimenting with new experiences to try those who are looking for something special. A sommelier of the Italian Federation and an oenologist from the Frescobaldi Estate of Pomino in Tuscany joined an expert in medicinal plants to guide tasters to the meeting of wine aromas.
    The heart of the event was to try the taste and aftertaste of a wine and to smell it immediately comparing it with that of medicinal plants.
    The surprising variety of medicinal plants has widened our experience as we have been able to experience a large number of different aromas and flavors. The organizers of the event are leading actors in quality food: the Bottega del Vino, the Officina Botanica and the Norcineria Cesqui from Colleferro have come together for this pleasant surprise.

    A tour in the historic center of Frosinone, set off from Piazza Garibaldi and finished in Piazza VI Dicembre, at the headquarters of the Associazione Fotografi Ciociari 'Franco Olivetti'.
    In spite of the uncertain weather, about forty participants have come to discover the historical core of the city with Leda Virgili, qualified guide of Lega Ernica and Paolo Ruggeri of the "Ci vediamo in Provincia" (See you in the province) association that for years promotes urban walks to discover the historic center of Frosinone.

    May 4: Presentation of the Cultural District of Palestrina

    The cities of Tivoli, Palestrina and Subiaco have come together to present their joint 'District' initiative on tourism and culture. The presentation took place at the splendid National Archaeological Museum of Palestrina, just below the mosaic of the Nile. The regional councilor Lorenza Bonaccorsi participated and at the end of all the interventions the conclusion was: 'Most tourists move independently by inquiring above all on the web .... We need to monitor the web by telling stories in at least two languages! ' We are here and we have consolidated our relations with the administrations and the region.
