Jun 24: Fjallstein vikingr Fest

The second edition of the Fjallstein Vikingr Festival took place in Montelanico, three days immersed in a magical atmosphere that transformed Montelanico into a real Scandinavian village. Figures in costume and themed stands, to rediscover the traditions of the Viking people, all surrounded by a real viking camp with tents and bonfires.

The group of falconers "Owls of the Acropolis" of Alatri was also unmissable this year. They have enlivened the participants with wonderful flight shows to raise awareness of this interesting and ancient practice.

See you next year!

Jun 18 Castiglione in Teverina: Triennial Tourism Plan of the Lazio Region

On June 18th in Castiglione in Teverina for the first meeting on the Tourism Triennial Plan of the Lazio Region. An interesting speech by Giuliano Tallone from the Tourism Agency gave us data on the influx of tourists in our region and on some of their behavior.
A day with the operators of Tuscia which proves to be one of the most interesting and stimulating areas for the offer of emotions.
The choice of the surrounding location is noteworthy: the MUVIS, the wonderful Wine Museum of Castiglione in Teverina.
We met the president of the equestrian tourism federation and I think we will collaborate.
We took advantage of the trip to Tuscia to divide us into groups and Gavin and Benedicta have toured the neighboring towns to take photographs and complete our tour guides.
More and more content for our readers!

Jun 17: Photowalk through the town of Cori

On the 17 of June the team was in Cori to learn more about its history and take pictures for our tourist guides.
We are totally immersed in the spirit of the city just before its Palio della Madonna del Soccorso. A wonderful guide to the museum brought us the stories of the arrival of the Augustinians from Anagni and the construction of the convent.
We drank excellent Cori DOC and the famous 'ugly but good' dry biscuits.
The day ended with a walk in the woods to go to photograph the Lake of Giulianello, Natural Monument.
Shortly on the website all the news!

Jun 2-3: Discovering Monte Porzio

A journey through the cuisine and flavors of this Castelli Romani village set on a plateau overlooking Rome and the Valle dei Latini. A way to return to the ruins of the ancient city of Tusculum which for many centuries was one of the engines of Rome and a garrison during the period of barbarian invasions. We met a medieval camp: it was the set of the 'Name of the Rose' with John Turturro who stayed between here and Cinecittà where other scenes of the film were shot. We must admit that from all this has emerged the true essence of Monteporzio, elegant villas still largely exclusive, and vineyards and wine shops where you can taste excellent white wine Frascati DOC.

May 28-29: Tour of Ventotene

Two days to develop the layout of this wonderful island which is one of the pearls of the Mediterranean.
The beauty of this work is that we could (owed?) Taste amazing dishes made by the chefs of the Garden and Mezzatorre. On the other hand we needed photos of typical island dishes well-dressed and photographed to be placed in the guide J.
A visit to the Ornithological Museum of Migration has opened our mind to all the experiences that can be made by birdwatchers and nature lovers. The museum offers workshops and participation in bird watching activities. During particular periods of the year it is possible to observe some species from the sea, those that nest on the rocks and whose song has given rise to many stories.
Ventotene once again surprised us with a visit to the archaeological museum that in recent years has been enriched with new pieces and tells the stories of a Roman past to be discovered.
Apart from that on the balloons that are a true 'unicum' of Ventotene (link article) and already in this period the local artists are working to participate in the competition held on September 20 during the feast of the patron Saint Candida.

We'll meet again soon!
